    Terrazzo floors are made of a combination of an epoxy or cement binder, and aggregates such as marble, granite, or glass. After poured, this mixture is polished to the desired level of reflectivity.

    Because terrazzo floors are primarily made from rock, they are extremely durable. Terrazzo offers high levels of both wear and stain resistance. Many terrazzo floors that are over a hundred years old are still in service, and can be maintained with modern techniques.

    Most terrazzo flooring projects cost between $24 and $60 per square foot. The amount of square footage installed has the highest impact on project pricing.

    Terrazzo floors require little maintenance. They should be dust mopped and cleaned regularly with a pH-neutral cleaner. However, for commercial floors that receive extremely high traffic, periodic repolishing or resealing may be required.

    Sealed terrazzo floors may be slippery when wet. Walk-off mats can be used in terrazzo construction at doorways to reduce water intrusion onto the floor.

    Epoxy Terrazzo Systems typically range from 3/8″ to 1/2″.

    Specialized concrete-based terrazzo systems are suitable for outdoor installations, and are extremely durable. An example of a well-known outdoor terrazzo installation is the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

    Very happy with the service! Had these guys do maintenance on the stained concrete floors in our house in McKinney. The floors were originally installed by the builder 9 years ago and the sealer was starting to flake in the walkways. We also had some fading of the stain in the areas where the sealer was coming off of the floor. They suggested a more durable sealer than the one the builder installed and our floors look pretty much as good as when we moved into the house.
