Terrazzo at NorthPark Center
Craftsman installed the terrazzo floor for Scanlan Theodore at NorthPark Center in Dallas. The two-tone floor uses a brass divider strip to separate the colors. We poured, ground and polished the terrazzo to the selected finish.
Poured terrazzo floors and in-house precast fabrication
Craftsman installs poured epoxy and cementitious terrazzo, coordinating the floor with the project’s selected colors, aggregate and divider layout.
We also cast, grind, polish and install our own precast terrazzo elements, including:
- Stairs and treads
- Countertops
- Wall panels and cladding
- Cove base
Precast elements can be coordinated with the poured floor to carry the selected finish onto stairs, bases and vertical surfaces.
For architects and project teams, our terrazzo system selection and specification guide covers system choices, substrate requirements, moisture and exposure.
Existing terrazzo floors
Restoration
Craftsman assesses existing terrazzo to determine what can be repaired and retained. Terrazzo restoration can include localized repairs, regrinding and repolishing, depending on the floor’s condition.
Polishing and honing
Craftsman provides terrazzo polishing and honing for commercial and institutional floors. We assess whether the work can be limited to the surface or needs to include repairs.
Installation around building operations
For occupied buildings, Craftsman reviews whether the work can proceed in phases and coordinates access with the facility team.
For new poured floors, the schedule includes preparation, installation, curing, grinding, polishing and cleanup. Restoration schedules depend on the repairs and refinishing required. We agree on when completed areas can return to service and provide the flooring closeout documentation required by the project.
