Residential Concrete Flooring
Craftsman Concrete is a commercial flooring contractor that takes selected residential projects. We specialize in luxury, custom poured-in-place terrazzo floors and also install polished concrete, stained concrete and decorative epoxy garage floors.
Our residential work includes a 4,400-square-foot terrazzo installation west of Fort Worth, where a custom marble blend and light-gray binder gave the homeowner the appearance of polished concrete with tighter control over the color.
We work with homeowners, architects and builders to select the floor, approve its appearance and coordinate the installation. We do not take every residential job; contact us with your location, approximate floor area and project details so we can review the fit.
Flooring options for your home
Custom poured terrazzo
Terrazzo gives you control over the decorative aggregate, background color and divider layout. The material is poured over a prepared substrate, then ground and polished to expose the selected aggregate.
Craftsman develops physical samples with you before installation and coordinates floor depth, slab preparation and construction sequencing with your builder.

Polished concrete
Polished concrete turns the concrete slab itself into the finished floor. Its appearance depends on the concrete, the amount of aggregate exposed and the selected sheen.
For new homes, Craftsman coordinates with the builder and concrete contractor before the slab is placed. For renovations, we assess the existing concrete and use an on-site sample to establish the intended finish.

Stained concrete
Staining adds color to concrete. Depending on the appearance you want, the finished floor may be stained and sealed or colored and mechanically polished.
You do not need to know the technical name before contacting us. Photographs help us understand the look you want, and a representative sample shows how the proposed treatment works on your concrete.

Epoxy garage floors
Decorative flake epoxy creates a coated finish over the garage slab. Craftsman prepares the concrete, addresses the required repairs and installs the primer, flake layer and protective topcoat.
Color, texture and return-to-use instructions are part of the installation planning.

Planning a new home
Bring Craftsman into the project while the floor and slab details are being developed.
For polished concrete, the slab becomes the finished surface, so its placement, finishing, joints and protection affect the result. Terrazzo adds a separate floor assembly, making its depth and transitions to adjoining finishes important.
We coordinate the selected floor with your builder, establish the appearance through samples and plan our work around the other trades.
Working with an existing slab
An existing concrete floor may be suitable for polishing, staining, terrazzo or a coating, but the preparation depends on its condition.
Previous coverings, adhesive residue, contamination, cracks and repairs can affect the work and finished appearance. Craftsman assesses the slab before confirming the preparation and installation scope.
Polishing and transparent color treatments can leave existing variations visible.
Choosing the appearance
Start with photographs of floors you like. Our polished-concrete styles and stained-concrete styles guides can help narrow the choices.
Craftsman reviews the proposed finish through physical samples. For polished and stained concrete, we sample the actual slab; for terrazzo, samples establish the aggregate, binder color and finish. Natural variation and existing repairs may still affect the completed floor.
Budget, scheduling and care
The price depends on the selected floor, project area, preparation and design. An existing slab may need repairs or coating removal before the new finish can be installed.
Craftsman coordinates access, installation and protection with your builder. Curing and return-to-use requirements depend on the system installed; completion of the application does not always mean the floor is ready for normal use.
