Deviations, corrective work, and unresolved items
A deviation record notes where the installed work departed from the specification, why, who approved the departure, and what corrective work followed. Recording deviations serves the buyer twice: at turnover it separates accepted variances from open defects, and years later it explains conditions that would otherwise look like mistakes. An unresolved-item list with named owners, dates, and pricing does the same for work that acceptance did not cover, so an open item cannot quietly disappear between substantial completion and final payment.
