Sika Ucrete UD 200 SR is a hygienic, heavy-duty polyurethane cement floor screed with very good slip resistance, installed at roughly 1/4 to 1/2 inch as the wearing layer of Sika Ucrete flooring systems. Specs written as Ucrete 200SR or UD200 SR map to Sika Ucrete UD 200 SR. The name survived an ownership change: the current data sheet header still prints formerly Ucrete UD 200 SR, the designation the product carried under BASF and MBCC before Sika closed its acquisition of MBCC Group Construction Systems on May 2, 2023. The SR grade exists for floors that run wet. Sika’s application guidance warns that excessive finish troweling or rolling degrades the anti-slip characteristics, so the finishing spec protects the texture instead of leaving it to crew discretion. Four things decide whether Ucrete UD 200 SR is specified correctly. The texture, because slip resistance is the reason the SR grade gets written. The thickness, because the service temperature rating scales with it. The substrate and schedule, because the product tolerates young, damp concrete and can be accelerated into a 12-hour install window. And the name on the spec, because the product has outlived one corporate owner and several shorthand spellings.

Slip Resistance Is What the SR Designation Buys

Wet-area duty is the whole case for the SR grade. Washdown zones, greasy process areas, and wet pack floors put slip-fall exposure at the top of the flooring spec, and Sika documents slip resistance as this product’s defining characteristic alongside impermeability to liquids and resistance to bacterial or mold growth. Field discipline protects that property. The data sheet cautions against excessive finish troweling or rolling because over-finishing dulls the anti-slip texture the grade was specified for. Duty-level depth by facility type lives on the food and beverage flooring pages, and this page stays at the product level.

Thickness Sets the Temperature Rating

A 1/4-inch floor is rated -13°F to 176°F. At 3/8 inch the rating widens to -40°F to 248°F, and a 1/2-inch floor carries -40°F to 266°F with occasional spillage to 302°F, so freezer service and full steam-cleanability both arrive at 3/8 inch. Mechanical values come from the product’s own current PDS rather than family averages. Compressive strength is 7,541 psi at 28 days per ASTM C579, flexural strength is 2,030 psi per ASTM C580, and tensile adhesion exceeds 290 psi with the concrete failing before the bond per ASTM D4541. Kit yield falls as the floor thickens, from 25 square feet per kit at 1/4 inch to 12.5 square feet at 1/2 inch.

Seven-Day Concrete, Damp Slabs, and a 12-Hour Window

Schedule tolerance is this product’s quiet advantage. The PDS supports application onto 7-day-old concrete and 3-day-old polymer screed, lists tolerance of high-moisture substrates, and asks for a minimum 3,625 psi concrete substrate. Unaccelerated, the floor takes traffic in 16 to 24 hours at a 46°F substrate. With Sika Ucrete Accelerator it takes traffic in 4 hours at 50°F inside a 12-hour fast-install window, which is what puts this screed on weekend shutdown and cold-room schedules. Craftsman documents the slab either way, with ASTM F2170 in-situ relative humidity testing and ICRI 310.2 surface profile verification filed in the closeout package, so the warranty record shows exactly what the floor went over.

Formerly Ucrete UD 200 SR, and Still Ucrete on the Sheet

Check the header of the data sheet you are holding. A sheet titled Ucrete UD 200 SR without the Sika prefix is BASF or MBCC vintage, while the current document is Sika Ucrete UD 200 SR, Version 04.01, June 2026, and its own header prints formerly Ucrete UD 200 SR. Sika closed the MBCC acquisition on May 2, 2023 and kept the Ucrete brand, so the renaming is a prefix, not a reformulation, and an older spec reads onto the current SKU.
