The 2023 Consolidation Behind the Name Change
Sika closed its acquisition of MBCC Group on May 2, 2023, and the Ucrete brand, marketed as an industrial polyurethane cement floor since 1969, came with it. Owning two urethane cement lines, the company consolidated its US catalog around the Ucrete name. That is the whole mechanism. Branding moved; the four PurCem product pages themselves carry no end-of-life notice.

How to Read a Current Sika Submittal
New US system documentation publishes under Ucrete names. The November 2025 system sheets for Ucrete SL, SL+, SLB, and SLB+ each name their base product as Ucrete HS24 NA or HS22 NA rather than a PurCem code. A submittal dated 2025 or later that still reads PurCem is quoting an older master spec, which is common and entirely workable. The code migration below is written for exactly that document.
