Sherwin-Williams Poly-Crete SLB is a 100% solids, seamless 3/16-inch cementitious urethane self-leveling floor system with a flintshot quartz aggregate broadcast that produces a slip-resistant finish. The body coat resists thermal shock and is moisture mitigating — it installs over concrete up to 99% relative humidity and can eliminate the primer in most environments — while the topcoat options carry the chemical and abrasion resistance the space requires. It is the slip-resistant self-leveling member of the Poly-Crete line, specified for kitchens, food processing, breweries and distilleries, warehouses, and high-traffic areas. If your specification still reads Dur-A-Flex Poly-Crete SLB or the older General Polymers FasTop Topfloor SL13, this is the same system under its current Sherwin-Williams High Performance Flooring name. Craftsman Concrete Floors installs Poly-Crete SLB nationwide as an authorized Sherwin-Williams High Performance Flooring installer.

About Sherwin-Williams Poly-Crete SLB

Poly-Crete SLB is the slip-resistant self-leveling system in the Poly-Crete cementitious urethane line. Three things define where it fits: the flintshot broadcast that makes it slip-resistant, the moisture tolerance that lets it go down where epoxy cannot, and the naming history that means it appears in older specs under two earlier brand names.

Self-Leveling at 3/16 Inch With a Slip-Resistant Broadcast

Poly-Crete SLB pours as a self-leveling body coat and is then broadcast with flintshot quartz to a slip-resistant texture, finished with a Poly-Crete TF Plus or Color-Fast seal coat. The broadcast is what separates it from the smooth Poly-Crete SL: SLB is specified where wet, greasy, or washdown floors make slip resistance the governing concern; the broadcast texture is specified to meet the ANSI A326.3 wet-DCOF threshold of 0.42 for level interior floors walked on wet. The texture and grit can be tuned to the facility, and a sample should be tested before installation on any slip-critical floor.

Moisture Tolerance and Thermal Shock

The Poly-Crete body coat is moisture mitigating and installs over concrete measuring up to 99% relative humidity, which in most environments eliminates the separate moisture-mitigation primer that an epoxy floor would require — a real schedule and cost advantage on green or damp slabs. It is thermal-shock resistant for spaces with rapid temperature cycling, and the published Poly-Crete system carries a 9,000 psi compressive strength (ASTM C579) and a Shore D hardness of 75 to 80. Exact values for this specific build are on the embedded data sheet.

Formerly Dur-A-Flex Poly-Crete SLB and FasTop Topfloor SL13

Sherwin-Williams acquired Dur-A-Flex on July 1, 2022, and in the 2025 branding transition consolidated its resinous flooring under Sherwin-Williams High Performance Flooring. Poly-Crete SLB kept its name through that change, but the older General Polymers urethane cement line folded into it: the system specified years ago as FasTop Topfloor SL13 is today’s Poly-Crete SLB. A specification written under either legacy name installs as the current Poly-Crete SLB, and Craftsman cross-references the legacy product to the current system during pre-bid review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Poly-Crete SLB is a slip-resistant self-leveling urethane cement floor for wet and high-traffic commercial and industrial spaces — commercial kitchens, food processing, breweries and distilleries, warehouses, storage, and light manufacturing. The flintshot quartz broadcast gives it a slip-resistant surface, and the moisture-tolerant body coat lets it install where epoxy would need a separate moisture barrier.

Poly-Crete SLB is a nominal 3/16-inch seamless system: a self-leveling Poly-Crete body coat, a flintshot quartz broadcast, a grout coat, and a seal or topcoat. For a thicker, higher-impact broadcast floor, Poly-Crete MDB at 1/4 inch is the heavier option.

It is the current Sherwin-Williams High Performance Flooring name for the system formerly sold as Dur-A-Flex Poly-Crete SLB, and before that as the General Polymers FasTop Topfloor SL13. A specification under any of those names installs as today’s Poly-Crete SLB.

Yes. The Poly-Crete body coat is moisture mitigating and rated for concrete up to 99% relative humidity by in-situ probe (ASTM F2170), so on most damp or green slabs it pours without the separate moisture-mitigation primer an epoxy floor would need.
