Sika Ucrete SL+ is a solid-color, self-leveling polyurethane cementitious slurry engineered with Sika Ucrete HS22 NA, installed at 160 to 250 mils (4 to 6.3 mm). It is the heavier-duty self-leveling slurry in the Sika Ucrete range, designed for excellent resistance to abrasion, impact, chemical attack, and thermal shock in aggressive environments — food processing plants, freezers and coolers, dairies, breweries, wineries, distilleries, laboratories, chemical process plants, and pharmaceutical facilities. It performs across a −40 °F to 248 °F temperature range and meets USDA requirements for use in food plants. This data sheet covers its mechanical specs, temperature range, and substrate requirements. Craftsman Concrete Floors installs Sika Ucrete SL+ systems nationwide as a Sika Installer.

About Sika Ucrete SL+
Sika Ucrete SL+ is the heavier-duty self-leveling slurry in the Sika Ucrete range — the step up from Sika Ucrete SL for aggressive, wet, and freezer environments. Three things on the system data sheet define where it fits: the thicker 160-to-250-mil build, the wide temperature and chemical envelope, and impact behavior that suits hard industrial duty.
Self-Leveling Slurry at 160-250 Mils
Sika Ucrete SL+ installs as a solid-color self-leveling slurry at 160 to 250 mils (4 to 6.3 mm), engineered with Sika Ucrete HS22 NA. The thicker build is what separates it from Sika Ucrete SL at 80 to 160 mils: it is specified to protect concrete in aggressive environments — food processing plants, wet and dry process areas, freezers and coolers, dairies, breweries, wineries, distilleries, laboratories, chemical process plants, pulp and paper, and pharmaceutical facilities. Used as a base coat for a moisture-vapor-tolerant system, the minimum build is 125 mils before aggregate broadcast.
Temperature, Chemical, and Impact Behavior
Sika Ucrete SL+ holds its physical characteristics from −40 °F to 248 °F (−40 °C to 120 °C), with a coefficient of thermal expansion close to concrete so it moves with the slab through thermal cycling, and it is steam-cleanable at 3/16 to 1/4 inch. It resists a very wide range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, amines, salts, and solvents — consult Sika Technical Service for a specific exposure. Under impact it behaves plastically, deforming rather than cracking or debonding, registering 5.02 ft-lb (6.81 J) at 1/8 inch, and its aggregate structure gives high abrasion resistance. Its tensile adhesion exceeds 400 psi, above the lighter Ucrete slurries. It is non-tainting and odorless and meets USDA requirements for use in food plants.
Substrate and Moisture Tolerance
Sika Ucrete SL+ can be applied on green concrete, typically 7 to 10 days old, without the full 28-day cure, and over partially cured substrates above 4% surface moisture on a Tramex meter or below 100% relative humidity per ASTM F2170. The concrete is prepared to an ICRI-CSP 3-6 profile and must reach at least 3,625 psi compressive and 218 psi tensile at the time of application. Free edges at the perimeter, gutters, and drains are anchored into cut grooves, and existing expansion joints are carried up through the floor. Note that the HS22 NA slurry will not level at 1/8 inch and will show surface imperfections below its minimum build.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sika Ucrete SL+ is a heavier-duty self-leveling polyurethane cement slurry for aggressive environments — food processing plants, freezers and coolers, dairies, breweries, wineries, distilleries, laboratories, chemical process plants, and pharmaceutical facilities. It installs at 160 to 250 mils and meets USDA requirements for use in food plants. For lighter general-industrial duty, Sika Ucrete SL at 80 to 160 mils is the thinner option.
Both are self-leveling Sika Ucrete slurries with a −40 °F to 248 °F range. Sika Ucrete SL installs at 80 to 160 mils (2 to 4 mm) for general industrial floors; Sika Ucrete SL+ installs thicker at 160 to 250 mils (4 to 6.3 mm) with higher tensile adhesion above 400 psi and documented impact performance, for freezers, food processing, and aggressive chemical exposure.
Sika Ucrete SL+ holds its physical characteristics from −40 °F to 248 °F (−40 °C to 120 °C), with a coefficient of thermal expansion close to concrete so it moves with the slab. It is steam-cleanable at 3/16 to 1/4 inch.
Yes. The data sheet states that Sika Ucrete SL+ meets the requirements of USDA for use in food plants. It is non-tainting and odorless, rated 0 for fungi growth (ASTM G21) and 10 for mold resistance (ASTM D3273).
